Our History

Private Residence International (PRI) was born out of a vision to redefine vacation ownership and create an investment opportunity that truly benefits its owners. After 12 years in the luxury vacation and timeshare industry, our co-founder Laura Alexis achieved worldwide recognition, generating over $25 million in sales. But alongside that success came a firsthand understanding of the industry’s flaws.

Traditional timeshares, once centered on deeded ownership, began shifting toward points-based systems that stripped owners of flexibility, equity, and long-term value. Clients found themselves paying hefty fees year after year, only to face limited availability, frustration, and depreciating investments. Our founder knew there had to be a better way—a solution that brought back the benefits of true ownership while solving these long-standing challenges.
